IND vs SA: India won the three-match ODI series against South Africa after thumping the visitors in the third and final one-dayer at Visakhapatnam by 9 wickets. Rohit Sharma refuses to eat cake after series victory.
Former India skipper Rohit Sharma is in no mood to put on even a bit of weight yet again and is following a strict diet chart.
In fact, the Indian batting star was seen to have declined a bite of the cake during a small celebration at their hotel in Visakhapatnam after their ODI series win against South Africa
In a video that has now gone viral in social media, Virat Kohli was seen asking Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had scored his maiden one-day century, to cut the cake.
Aftre Jaiswal did the honours himself, he gave a small slice of it to Virat who obliged and then asked him to offer it to Rohit considering the fact that the two openers had put up a solid foundation in then run-chase with a century stand.
However, when Jaiswal turned to Rohit Sharma, “hitman”, as he is fondly addressed to due to his six-hitting prowess, declined saying: “Main phir se mota ho jaunga (I’ll become fat again).”
The reply left the other Team India members along with other hotel staff members in splits.
Incidentally, Rohit — who has reportedly undergone an intensive training programme under the supervision of his friend and former India assistant coach Abhishek Nayar — has lost 11 kilograms in three months leading up to the last series against Australia.
