Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today campaigned for BJP candidate of Dholai (SC) assembly constituency Nihar Ranjan Das and addressed two mega election rallies in Barak Valley.
Chief Minister Sarma took the Congress head-on and alleged that the party is working against the interests of Bengali Hindus.
He singled out the Congress party in particular for alleging that Nihar Ranjan Das has Bangladeshi roots and questioned the party about the origins of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.
Chief Minister Sarma hoped that people will vote for the BJP in the Nov 13 by-elections and that “a vote for BJP will further the developmental trajectory of Barak Valley”.
