Delhi schools have switched to online mode up to Class 5 as the national capital grappled with rising air pollution.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, who also holds the Education portfolio, took to ‘X’, previously Twitter, on Thursday to inform about the decision.
“Due to rising pollution levels, all primary schools in Delhi will be shifting to online classes, until further directions,” she announced.
The announcement will be applicable to all schools — both Government-run and private — as air pollution levels remained in the severe category for the third straight day.
Meanwhile, a thick layer of smog engulfed the National Capital Region, including Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram, forcing many people to stay indoors.
