India may have suffered a 3-0 whitewash in the Test series at home against New Zealand but wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant’s heroics in the third and final test at Mumbai have earned him a place in the top-10 ICC rankings for batters in Tests.
Pant rose five places to sixth overall on the back of a pair of half-centuries at the Wankhade. He is now just one spot behind the career-best fifth position he first occupied in July 2022.
New Zealand veteran Daryl Mitchell also rose to seventh following his impressive performance in the first innings of the Mumbai Test where he scored 82 runs.
Meanwhile, in the Test bowlers rankings, Ravindra Jadeja moved two places to sixth following his 10-wicket haul against the Kiwis.
