Key Arrests and Recoveries
The operations, conducted across multiple districts, led to the apprehension of high-ranking cadres involved in extortion and armed activities.
- Lamginlal Chongloi (36): A self-styled “Sergeant Major” of the Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA). He was apprehended near the Saikul-KMC bridge in Kangpokpi district. Police recovered a 9mm pistol, a magazine, and three live rounds from his possession.
- Nameirakpam Roshan Singh (25): An active cadre of the People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK). Originally from Irengbam Makha Leikai, he was arrested at a residence in Langthabal Ningombam, Imphal West.
- Khaidem Ajitkumar Singh (25): Also known as “Adison” or “Abai,” he is an active cadre of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-Apunba). He was picked up from his locality under the Lamphel Police Station in Imphal West. A mobile phone and incriminating documents were seized during the raid.
Expanding the Net: Drug Seizure in Tengnoupal
In a related development on Friday, security forces also arrested Houlim Tongkhokai Mate (33) in Tengnoupal district. This operation resulted in the recovery of approximately 8.3 kg of WY (World is Yours) tablets, a popular synthetic drug in the region. A Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and various identity documents were also confiscated.

Ongoing Security Measures
The Manipur Police have established 114 checkpoints (nakas) across both hill and valley districts to monitor movement and prevent further militant activity. Authorities have also ensured the safe passage of over 200 vehicles carrying essential commodities along National Highway-37.
