Sikkim Names 17-Player Squad for Senior Women’s One Day Trophy Plate, Sarika Koli to Lead
The Sikkim Cricket Association (SICA) has announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming Senior Women’s One Day Trophy Plate, scheduled to be held in Odisha from February 6 to 16.
The squad remains largely unchanged from the team that scripted history by winning the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy Plate in October 2025. Sarika Koli has been appointed captain, continuing her leadership role after the team’s landmark national triumph.
The selected players are: Sarika Koli (Captain), Anjeel Lepcha, Bindiya Rai, Diksha Chettri, Dipa Das, Mariam Subba, Nandika Kumari, Pramila Limboo, Preetika Chettri, Primula Chettri, Priyanka Kurmi, Rabika Chettri, Rachal Rai, Samayita Roy Prodhan, Shravani Desai, Songkit Lepcha, and Tabita Subba.
The competition will feature six teams — Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim. During the league stage, each team will face the others once, with the top two sides progressing to the Plate final on February 16.
Sikkim will open their campaign against Meghalaya on February 6 at the KIIT Cricket Stadium. Their remaining league fixtures are against Mizoram (February 8), Nagaland (February 10), Manipur (February 12), and Bihar (February 14).
Matches will be played across three venues — Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, KIIT Cricket Stadium, and the Railway Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
Notably, Sikkim secured their first-ever national cricket title by defeating Nagaland by 10 runs in the final of the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy Plate at the Police Training Academy (PTA) Ground in Agartala, Tripura, last October.
Expressing confidence in the squad, SICA president Tika Subba said, “Our team has already proven its capabilities at the national level, and we believe they have the discipline and determination to perform consistently in the longer format as well.”
