The 33-year-old arrested Bangladeshi Infiltrator has been identified as Jagir Miah
In a successful joint operation, Tripura Police and Special Task Force (STF) of the Assam Police along with Central Intelligence unit arrested an alleged Bangladeshi infiltrator with possible terror links on Tuesday morning in Agartala.
The 33-year-old arrested individual has been identified as Jagir Miah.
Jagir Miah was arrested from his house, which is located in the bordering village called Jaipur, under the AD Nagar Police Station of Agartala.
The sources have revealed that the arrested person is an active member of the “Imam Mahamude Kafila,” an offshoot organisation linked to the Jama’atul Mujahideen, a Bangladesh terror outfit.
Agartala shares a 856 km international boundary with Bangladesh.
