AR Rahman, The music maestro is collaborating for a long-term creative vision
What is brewing in Nagaland with Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman joining hands with the state government? What exactly is the music maestro planning in Nagaland this time?
Well, the music maestro is collaborating for a long-term creative vision that would reshape how Naga talent and stories of Naga culture reach the global platform.
There has been a quiet flourishing of creative energies of Nagaland in the form of local songs, contemporary bands, etc., which are more authentic and grassroots-oriented, yet often unheard beyond the region, limited by the absence of platforms and professional ecosystems.
So, for encouraging the artists of Nagaland to grow, develop, and prosper on a global scale while staying rooted in their culture, music maestro AR Rahman, along with the government of Nagaland, has announced the Naga International Studio, a platform designed to let indigenous narratives be told in their own voice, with professional support and global exposure.
