A patrol party of the Assam Commando in Dima Hasao in Assam, came under attack late last night when unidentified miscreants opened fire on them. One person reportedly died in the incident that happened near the Assam Commando Camp located in the Chillai area of Jinam Valley under Mahur Police Station.
Sources said there has been no injury or casualty on the Assam Police side. The identity of the deceased is not known yet.

The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and the situation is currently under control while authorities continue monitoring it closely.
The Camp is located close to the Manipur border and the area where the Camp is located, is frequented by several militant groups.
