Actor Chandan Deka sets highest benchmark of professional dedication, performs theatre drama even after father’s sudden demise

Assamese actor Chandan Deka has set the highest standard of professional commitment as he took to the stage despite his father’s unfortunate demise. The actor is currently with Rajlakshmi Theatre

Assamese actor Chandan Deka has set the highest standard of professional commitment as he took to the stage despite his father’s unfortunate demise.

The actor is currently with Rajlakshmi Theatre and had a play to perform at Mangaldai. However, his father, who had been unwell for a few days, passed away yesterday (Nov 4).

Despite the huge personal loss Chandan, after performing the initial work at hospital, headed to Mangaldai, performed the play to honour his professional commitment before leaving for his ancestral place near Pathsala where his father’s mortal remains were taken.

Incidentally, the bereaved family performed the last rites at Agia in Goalpara district today where the actor and his family is now settled.

After his father’s last rites, Chandan is scheduled to return to the theatre and take part in the play while observing all customary rites and rituals, his co-actors at the theatre told Time8.

Chandan has thus displayed the highest benchmark of professional commitment despite his unimaginable personal loss. His mobile theatre fans in particular and people in general are saluting him for the exemplary level of dedication and commitment to work that he has shown.
