A 35-year-old man has been jailed for life in the United Kingdom after being convicted for the rape and murder of a health worker in 2021.
The 37-year-old NHS worker died after she was sexually assaulted “again and again” by Mohamed Iidow when she had passed out on a bench in a park in West London after a night out.
The victim, procesution said, died after suffering a heart attack from the repeated assault.
A mother of three, the victim was found dead by a passer-by in the park in the morning of July 17, 2021.
Iidow was sentenced for rape and manslaughter charges as the judge stated that the accused took advantage of the victim who was in a “highly vulnerable state” and described the gruesome act as “wicked and utterly reckless.”
The rapist will serve a minimum term of 10 years and eight months in prison, reports further stated.
